Spring session special!

February 28, 2011

I’ve had some inquiries as to when I’d be back to doing family sessions etc… and I’ve started taking bookings for mid to late April on.    If you are interested in pre-booking a session or mini session now for late April, May or June (think of the beautiful spring colors etc – they’ll be gorgeous by then!) I will take $50 off of your session fee!

Shoot me an email, I’d love to write you in!

Also, if you are looking to squeeze a session in this week or next, let me know :)   While I’m waiting for this baby I might as well keep busy!

If any of you remember the weather from last week Saturday, you’d think it would be crazy to try take pictures that day.  Well… call us crazy, but we did it!   We found shelter from the rain and super winds, and made it look like no trouble at all :)   Crystal was having some contractions that morning, and with her due date only 2 weeks off we didn’t want to reschedule and perhaps miss our chance!

Brent, Crystal and Cedar (and Max, or is it Mac?!), thanks for being such troopers and coming out!  I enjoyed meeting you, and having the opportunity to get a little peak into your lives :)    All the best in the next week or two as you wait for your little girl to arrive, I sure can’t wait to meet her (preferably before my own little girl arrives ;) ).

Enjoy your sneak peak!

Check out this seriously hot mama!

Some lovin’ from Mommy and Daddy…

bellingham-wa-maternity-photographer-familylovebellingham-wa-maternity-photographyI love the “accidentalness” of the middle photo…  originally I was going to toss it, but then decided it was a definite keeper.  Love the expression Cedars face and the obliviousness of Brent and Crystal…

Wow, hard to believe that this project is over – and that I actually completed it!  Every day, a new picture… and I didn’t even miss a single day.    My plan is to have every photo printed and made into a keepsake book for our family.   I’m thinking about starting a weekly blog post instead of daily, just because I’ve enjoyed it so much, so look for that!

Thank you to everyone who has followed along, and for your kind comments!  It’s been great to share the ride with so many of you – you’ve made it extra memorable!  I encourage any of you to do this with your family…  you don’t have to make it public like I did, but even to just do on your own and put it in an album.   I dare you!

So, today’s photo was taken by Maddy…   woohoo!   Sorta out of focus, but beggars can’t be choosers :)   Lisa and I are due 10 weeks apart…   kinda crazy to me to see how much a baby grows in 10 weeks!  Haha.   Here are our little babies having some bonding time:

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this gorgeous mama-to-be-again since we struck up a friendship while prego at the same time with our first babies!   Now, 7 years later we’re pregnant together again, due within 3 weeks of eachother (me first!).   Besides our first babies who are 3 months apart, all of our other pregnancies seemed to be at different times…  so it’s a treat to be pregnant together again!   Can you believe she is having her fifth (4 boys…  and..  we’ll see!!)… doesn’t she look amazing?   Stunning, I tell you.

But besides looking great, she’s also an amazing person inside…   caring, kind and a true friend.   She is a dang good cook and bakerella…  wow.   Oh, and housekeeper too.  Yeah, she rocks.  Jan…  you deserve these pictures, and to celebrate this beautiful time of life.   Your love for pregnancy and babies is something special, and I admire you for it!   I hope you treasure these pictures, because when I look at them I can’t just help but smile…   they’re so you!

This little red barn on the side of the road was the perfect setting for some pics…  seeing as she’s married to a farm boy :)

I posted this one a few days ago on my photo of the day… but here it is with some vintage editing.  I’m diggin’ it.

Thanks for coming by!

Little man fell asleep pretty much instantly when I put him to bed at 6:30.  He was tired, and done for the day…   fighting off some kind of cold/cough thingy and playing hard with his buddies.   I could watch them sleep for hours (okay maybe not hours)… so peaceful and precious.

For those who want to know the techy part of this…  it was taken in a dark room with only the hall light outside the door and a nightlight in the room at 1/60, ISO 1600 and f1.8.  Still pretty dark and noisy, and not a prize winning shot, but not bad for using no flash!
