Two more fun families from the mini session date at Hovander…

First, the Fergusons.  They’re almost family, since Sandra’s little sister married my little brother…  so it was so fun to have them and take these photos for them.   Jake and Drew are such gorgeous little boys, with the most amazing blue eyes!  I’m pretty sure they give their parents a run for their money :)    Enjoy!

And then these cool peeps…  they are no strangers to this blog… appearing here and there :) .   Love them all,  they are such a blessing to us!   Hard to believe how big the kids are getting..   and how much Jude has changed since last time he was behind my camera!

That’s all for today, folks.   If you are interested in a mini-session, let me know!  You now know what can be accomplished in 20ish minutes!!  :)

Here are two of the four Hovander mini sessions from Oct 15th…  we had gorgeous weather and Hovander didn’t disappoint!

First was the Simmons…  loved seeing them again, hard to believe it was 6 months ago that I did Bri’s newborn pics!   Bri and my Lucy are only a few weeks apart, it was fun to see what kinds of things Bri was into etc…  such a fun, cute age.  In 6 months I get to see them again to photograph Bri’s 1st birthday – I’m already excited for that!  :)

Next up is the VanWervens..  such a cute, sweet family.  Stacy and I have become running buddies…  and I’ve come to really appreciate our growing friendship!  Loved being able to fit them in on mini – session day…  they made my job super easy as you can tell :)   Enjoy!

Two more to come… hopefully up on the blog tomorrow!  Stay tuned :)

Love this girl…    she’s such an awesome sister and auntie!    Julia became an aunt at age (almost) 8 when Maddy was born…  and the kids just love her so much.  She’s so fun to have around, and is such a big help to me.  I feel spoiled when she’s around…   she’s so capable and willingl!   She wanted a few pics for her freshman year, so I was happy to finally be able to do something for her :)   And, afterwards, she even unloaded my dishwasher. What a girl.

Love you Jules, you are gorgeous!

And my little sweetie is 7 months old!!  Love those chompers!

Mini sessions today…  lots of posts to come!!  :)

I was so excited when Heather won my contest a while back for a free session…   I knew she had an adorable family that my camera would  love, and I was right!   I met Heather a few years back, and right away we figured out that our kiddos were all exactly the same age.  So fun!

The weather didn’t cooperate (lame rain), but they were good sports and we worked around it.   These photos were taken on Lane’s parents property… beautiful!  I could’ve shot there all day!

Thanks again for having me, guys… and congrats on winning!   Enjoy the pics!

We’ll be in touch soon!

So, so, so much fun.  I just loved this session from start to finish.  Going into it I was super nervous, because Karin is an amazingly talented photographer up in BC… so I knew I had to bring my A game.  But, nerves faded quickly once we got there, because really, how could you go wrong with a place like Stoney Ridge?   (hoping to get back there with the kids sometime soon!!)   Getting to know Karin over the last few years has been a true pleasure, she’s a sweet, calm and fun person whom I’ve grown to admire and appreciate!   It’s always fun to get together for coffee and chit chat about life, photography, kids…  all of that good stuff.   She took our pics last fall, and is going to again this coming Saturday (c’mon rain, stay away!!), so I was so happy to do these pics for her :)    Karin, I hope these pictures are worthy of your walls!

Loved the apple orchard, I think these are my fave images of the session…  as you can tell I had a hard time choosing, be prepared for a long blog post.   I love that bottom middle photo…  a content Karin amidst her boys.   And the one of Karin, she’s stunning!!   And the ones of the boys… they are such fun, energetic boys, just how boys should be!  I could go on and on, but it’s getting late and this mama needs to hit the hay.

Doesn’t get too much more fall-like than pumpkins and corn fields.

Seriously, Stoney Ridge rocks.  If you haven’t ever been, it’s a MUST.

If you’re still with me, thanks for sticking it out!  Hope you enjoyed the photos and don’t go too far, more blog posts coming up soon!
