Love this family!  They are full of laughter, fun and happiness.  Such a pleasure to just be around them.  Brenda and I are old high school friends, and Shaun and I go even further back to being toddlers in Winterpeg, Manitoba.   Little did we know in 25ish years I’d be taking family photos of him across the country with a wife (who I met before he did!) and three kids.  God sure is good!!

It was FREEZING cold out… even though we got some sun going on…  I’m pretty sure it was below freezing.  Poor Lyla was sick, and Hazel was freezing…  Seth was a true boy though and didn’t seem to notice the cold .   Thankfully it was a mini session, so we finished in about 20 minutes – and managed to get a lot of great, fun shots!

Eight months is a little too close to twelve months.  I’m in denial.

This month she

*got her fifth tooth

*did a lot of planking

*said dada

*melted our hearts over and over

*moved to two naps a day

*started eating finger foods

*didn’t grow much hair

*moved out of the infant carseat

*made her mama more and more in love with her everyday with her sweet smile and character.  actually, this goes for the whole family.

I tried some new processing on these photos…  not sure yet how i feel about it, but it was fun to play around with anyways.  Thought I might as well do it on my pics instead of a clients!  What do you think?  Kind of a warm, creamy type of feel?

After rescheduling once due to rain, our day finally came last Saturday – and it was well worth the wait!  Weather was gorgeous, people were fabulous, what more could I ask for?   Erin and I used to work together back in the good ole Premier days, so when she won a contest a while back I was SUPER excited!  What started as a session of her and her boyfriend Matt eventually turned into a session of Matt, Eric and Matt’s siblings as a Christmas gift for Matt’s mom.  So, I sure hope I’m not spilling the beans here!?!  Anyways…   I had a ton of fun, and it was a treat to not have to run after little ones this time (although that’s fun too!!).   I love how they brought the dogs along and we could get a bunch of shots with them as well, since they are also part of the fam!

Matt also brought along his sweet new ride, a Mercury something (sorry Matt… it looks cool but I forget the name )!

LOVE the fall.  The colors, the crisp air, the comfort food…  everything about it is awesome.  Okay, well maybe not the rain.  But everything else.    Last Saturday was no exception.   Dani, Ryan and their sweet little Chase and I headed out to a few local spots to have their pics done… and I am in love with their pics!   They are such a cute little family…   and so easy!   I guess lately every family I’ve photographed has had 2 or more kids – so this was a treat… a sweet, super cute baby girl that wasn’t very mobile!
