Archive for January, 2012

He’s here!  So much love for this little dude already, he’s stolen my heart and the hearts of his family.   Babies are such a precious miracle and gift from God, so photographing one that belongs to my dear sister Rianne was so special to me.  This past year I’ve learned to not take good health for granted,  and God in his good grace brought Jace into this world as a healthy, beautiful little boy.    Jace decided he didn’t want to move or flip (must’ve been too comfy in there), so had to come via c-section, but God also over ruled there and everything went very well.

At just 5 days old Jace was the perfect little model…   and it’s a good thing because we were running out of daylight very quickly and had a short amount of time to get these pics done.  He snuggled up and fell asleep for the most part, except for a bit while hanging out with Daddy, but even then he was content!  So sweet.

Enjoy!

and a couple of the girls meeting their little brother in the hospital… awww!

Love you guys!!

I’ve known Trina since she was a young girl, and now she’s all grown up and getting married!!   When she contacted me about photographing their wedding in July I was pretty stoked, I’m not gonna lie.  This was the first time I got to meet Lance, the hubby to be, and he didn’t disappoint :) .  It was freeeeeezing out, but the sun was out to play making it a pretty fabulous January winter day.  Gorgeous people + beautiful weather = a photographer’s dream!

Enjoy the pics you two, and enjoy these next few months of planning – your big day will be here before you know it!  I’m looking forward to it already.

I’m still in denial.

This month…

*she stood alone

*took a few little steps :)   eeekkk!

* cruised around furniture like it was going out of style

*ate like a pig

*put anything and everything in her mouth, food or otherwise.  even moms zippers and earrings (attached to mom) were fair game.

*discovered a high pitch scream that gets the attention of anyone and everyone around her

*got a few more teeth – 8 total

*continues to love attention, and love people…   a happy go lucky social butterfly for sure!

Wow.  What an awesome year for ABP!   I have much to be thankful for in my personal life, but also professionally.   This year ABP had it’s best year yet – all thanks to my amazing clients!  I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work with so many amazing people…  clients as well as fellow photographers.  I’m excited for what 2012 has to offer for ABP, I have no doubt it’s going to be a great year!    Here’s a recap from the year…   so many beautiful people!  (As you can see Jan-March was all baby and maternity… wow!)

If you’d like to book a session with me for 2012, the sooner you contact me the better.   With a couple of family vacations in the works, and a limited number of sessions I’ll be taking per month, things will fill/already are filling up quickly.

Happy New Year!!

The end of a year/beginning of a new year always brings a time of reflection on things past, and things to come.   The last few days I’ve spent a lot of time doing just that, and at the end of it all I am just so grateful to God for being there through every part of this past year.   I feel so, so blessed.  He so graciously took care of us in 2011 and gave us what we needed – and then more!    He brought our sweet baby girl into our family in March – and she is such a beautiful gift to all of us.   He gave Eric and I 9 years of marriage in July, and gave all 5 of us another birthday.  He gave us food, shelter and a strong church community.  Even in the struggles and downs, particularly with our sweet niece Hadley being diagnosed with and treated for cancer, and my brother Reece being deployed to Afghanistan -  we still have seen God’s hand leading the way, and guiding us through it all.

So, going forward into 2011, what are our goals?   Trust in God completely, love eachother deeply, and have hope for what’s to come.   I read this verse this morning, and what a perfect reminder for daily life…

“He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God.”

Micah 6:8

Here a few pics of our 4 blessings from this past year – we have SO much to be thankful for!  Praise the Lord!

May God bless you in 2012!
