A few weeks ago we travelled to San Diego, CA to witness my (little) brother graduate from Marine Corps Bootcamp and become a United States Marine. It was a humbling and awesome experience, to see 312 young men hand their lives over to the Marine Corps and serve their country for the next 4 years. This was the first time Reece had seen or talked to us (he was only allowed to write and recieve letters) in 12 weeks, so needless to say he and all of us were excited.
It was evident how the previous 3 months had changed these young men. The chorus “honor, courage and commitment” rang strong as family day and graduation day commenced, and they were reunited with their families. We are proud of you Reece and what you’re doing for our country, and you are constantly in our prayers. You are missed already!
Here are a few pics from family day and graduation….
