For fun, I thought I’d enter this challenge cause… well… why not?! I finished with Kenzie’s pictures last week, and I think this one fits the “Dramatic Black and White” catergory 
Not to mention, any excuse to share more pictures of babies – I’ll take it! So, here is my entry for this week’s challenge!
6 years ago Eric and I were eagerly anticipating our entry into the world of parenthood…. and we waited… and waited… and waited. Finally, a little bit late by our dates, but perfectly on her own time on March 29th, 2004, our first child and beautiful daughter arrived and we fell in love.
These last 6 years have flown by, and it’s hard to believe that bald little girl we welcomed into our lives is now a full fledged walking and talking mini-version of us… someone we can have conversations with, who wants to read her own stories more than having us read to her, who tells funny jokes and brings so much joy and laughter into our home. God has so richly blessed us, sometimes it’s overwhelming to just sit back and think about all He has done for us.
This girl is a part of me, a part of us, and it’s such a bag of mixed feelings seeing her grow up. Obviously as parents we want to see our children thrive and be healthy and grow to be children of the Lord – but on the other side it’s hard to let go. A friend of mine said when her first child went off to Kindergarten that she felt like she was leaving a part of her heart behind as she walked out of that door… and I could totally relate to what she meant.
It is my prayer in the next 6 years that Madelyn learns to know her Savior [more] and to rely on Him… that she is healthy, happy and continues to bring joy to our family!

Remember beautiful Lynette and hubby Greg from their maternity session? Well, a couple weeks ago, little baby girl Kenzie made the three of them a family! I was so excited to meet this little girl… and what a sweetheart she was! She had great awake time and sleeping time, so we could get all sorts of shots (as you can tell I had a hard time choosing just a few!!).
I will stop blabbing now, and just share the pics Enjoy!

I can’t believe this day is finally here! My new blogsite is up and running, woot woot! I will no longer be posting at alyssabrownphotography.wordpress.com, so please make sure to change to this address in your bookmarks or RSS feed if you don’t have my correct address!
That being said, I still have to finish my galleries and get them up and running, but I couldn’t wait any longer to start using this site. I hope you like the changes you see! I’d love any feedback you have for me. I’ll let you know when the galleries are up, I’m anxious to get that done! A big thanks goes to Heather from Lovebugs Photography for her help and expertise getting this going, as well as to those who gave me great input and advice on making this site look good!
Now, to celebrate, I thought I’d do what everyone else is doing – a giveaway. I’m also going to *gasp* join, or at least attempt to join the world of tweeting and twittering. I’m still not quite sure what the point is, but I thought I’d at least try it.
